us as we use our gifts and talents to
help those in need in our congregation and local community.
Men's Breakfast
All church members are invited to a
breakfast on February 23 at 8:00 a.m. A good breakfast will be
served in the CLC followed by a presentation by Gene Brown, Director
of the Greensboro Housing Coalition. We are planning a housing
rehabilitation project later this year, and Mr. Brown will explain
their project work and how JPC members can participate. Sign up in
the Narthex or call Frank Morris, 889-3768.
FROM THE OUTREACH MINISTRY…
As Easter nears, we seek to provide comfort for those who need
food; those who go unnoticed by the world. We can make a difference
in the lives of many by coming together to help. Please help us
stock the food pantry for the upcoming Easter season. Food will be
delivered on March 15, 2008. Time is of the essence so do not delay.
We need your help today.
We are need of the following items: sweet potatoes, green beans,
green peas, peanut butter, cereal, canned fruit, and any other food
items will also help.
Knitting for the Needy
Were you warm last night? did you know that in Greensboro alone
there are over 400 homeless people living under bridges for in the
woods. Their only bed may be a piece of cardboard with their only
source of warmth, a fire they build out of scraps. Help share a
small bit of warmth with those less fortunate brothers and sisters
by knitting or crocheting a scarf for them. Let it be a constant
reminder that they are not alone. Share God's love.
